Preparation

  1. Cut the lamb into 5cm thick slices then cut each slice into 2 1/2 cm wide and 5-8cm strips long.
  2. Place into a non-metal bowl and add MasterFoods Satay Marinade.
  3. Cover and marinate for half to one hour or longer in the refrigerator.
  4. Soak the skewers in hot water for 1/2 hour.
  5. Thread 2 or 3 lamb strips onto each skewer, using a weaving action.
  6. Spread to cover 2/3 of the skewer only.
  7. Heat barbecue until hot.
  8. Place an overturned wire-cake rack over grill bars to prevent marinade charring the hot grill.
  9. Arrange the skewers in rows on the wire rack.
  10. Cook for approximately 8-10 minutes, turning frequently.
  11. Brush remaining marinade from the bowl over the lamb during cooking.
  12. Mix extra MasterFoods Satay Marinade and lemon juice together in a heatproof bowl and heat on the barbecue.
  13. Remove skewers to a platter and drizzle immediately with the heated marinade.
